In the ever-evolving landscape of corporate team building events, Barcelona Adventure recently had the pleasure of orchestrating a unique and exhilarating experience for one of our esteemed clients. In conjunction with our partners from a Dubai- based DMC, and against the backdrop of the vibrant metropolis of Barcelona, we designed a smart city rally, where the competitors completed several interactive tasks using GPS technology and tablets.

Barcelona's reputation as a hub of innovation and forward-thinking urban planning made it the perfect canvas for our smart city treasure hunt. Our client, a dynamic tech company keen on fostering collaboration and innovation among its teams, was eager to explore the concept of a smart city. We took the opportunity to create a memorable experience, entitled the Brave New World Smart City Rally   that combined team building, problem-solving, and exploration in one seamless package. Divided into teams, armed with the tablets and a series of cryptic clues, the participants ventured out into the bustling streets of Barcelona, where the smart city technology was seamlessly integrated into their challenges.

The rally led participants to various iconic landmarks that showcased Barcelona's commitment to smart city initiatives. From solar-powered charging stations to intelligent waste management systems, teams had to decipher clues and interact with these innovations to unlock their next set of challenges.

Discovering how technology was seamlessly woven into the fabric of the city sparked insightful discussions about the potential of smart city solutions. One of the highlights of the event was the 'Innovate for the Smart City' challenge, where each team had to conceptualize a creative smart solution that addressed some of the unresolved problems in Barcelona’s infrastructure. The ideas that emerged were generally outstanding, showcasing the incredible potential of teamwork, creativity, and innovation when harnessed effectively.

Collaboration, Feedback and Conclusions.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, teams converged at a picturesque location overlooking the city harbour to share their feedback, before being transferred to a well-known Barcelona Restaurant for a traditional dinner.

It was an immersive experience that ignited creativity, encouraged collaboration, and celebrated the future of urban living. We are proud to have played a part in our client's journey towards building stronger, more innovative teams, and we look forward to creating many more unforgettable adventures in the future.
